Berowra · No Road bush loop
Wombat 2.0
An 11.42 km road, fire-trail and bush loop from Warrina Street Oval. The route follows the familiar Wombat approach before leaving the standard road return for a steeper, more remote “No Road” bush section.
Explore the route
Zoom in before running and study the unnamed junctions beyond Bambil Road.
GPX essential: The No Road bush section contains unnamed and potentially ambiguous junctions. These written directions are an overview; follow the GPX continuously after entering the trail at the end of Bambil Road.
Route directions
Street and fire-trail cues are listed below. Navigate the No Road section directly from the GPX.
- 1
Start at the Warrina Street Oval car park and head up Warrina Street.
- 2
Turn right onto Berowra Waters Road.
- 3
Turn left onto Easton Road.
- 4
Turn left onto Joalah Crescent.
- 5
Find the fire-trail entrance off Joalah Crescent and turn right onto it.
- 6
At the first track junction, keep left on the main fire trail. The right fork descends towards Lyrebird Gully.
- 7
Continue on the main fire trail and exit at the end of Ti Tree Crescent.
- 8
Turn right onto Bambil Road. For the early cut-out, turn left instead.
- 9
Follow Bambil Road to its end and enter the fire trail.
- 10
This is where Wombat 2.0 leaves the standard Wombat road return. Do not take the standard left fork towards the Hamley Road exit. Follow the GPX into the No Road bush loop.
- 11
Remain with the GPX through the descending and climbing bush section. Treat every unnamed junction carefully and confirm your position before committing to a branch.
- 12
Continue following the GPX as the route winds back towards Berowra and reconnects with the local streets.
- 13
Once out of the bush, follow the GPX through the remaining street section towards Warrina Street Oval.
- 14
Finish at the Warrina Street Oval car park.
Early cut-out: When reaching Bambil Road at cue 8, turn left rather than right and return towards Warrina Street Oval. The full Wombat 2.0 route turns right.
